Subject	Been having fun the last week or so...

Message	First off... I'm rolling old school at the moment... Due to these... Those have 17k miles. They were rotated regularly... then when the inner tread got worn (inner meaning side facing into the car), I had them dismounted and switched sides (left tires on the right side of the car) and kept rotating them... Needless to say, they're shot. Were great tires, but I just put them on late summer 2002. =( Anyway, the rims and tires on my Z at the moment came from this... My brother thought his Z31 needed to go on a diet... we got a little extreme... Anyway, the reasoning behind all of that was this: There was more frame rail damage elsewhere, but this was the most eye catching... When he bought his Z31, the dealership we had it checked out at said it was one of the nicest Z31s they'd ever seen and if we were getting it for what we said ($3k) it was a steal. Needless to say it had been wrecked, and poorly repaired the first time (as you can see in the photos above). My brother just barely bumped someone when his Z just decided it was no longer going to go left on the onramp he was on but instead merge with the Intrepid next to him. He just "bumped" the guy, barely dinging his car, but my brothers car didn't fair so well... pulled the fender back, dinged the hood, mangled the front bumper and snapped a tie rod (bent it 45 degrees first, THEN it snapped). Needless to say the insurance company totaled the car, we were surpised at first, as it was in great shape otherwise (having not seen the frame) then we got it home after they said they were going to total it and my brother got it up on jackstands and pulled the tire off... then we were like "oh, I see now". So we stripped everything from it and its going to the yard tomorrow. Poor thing, it was 95% cherry. Anyway, just thought I'd share...
